High School Competitive Spring Season 2025

Grades 9-12, Boys & Girls Teams

Your registration is not complete until all steps are finished! Read more information about the season here. Note for returning players: there are several new steps this year due to a new relationship between Mounds View Ultimate (MVU) and Mounds View Public Schools.

Step One: MVU Registration

Complete the Mounds View Ultimate Registration Form.

Step Two: MVU Payment

Pay the Spring registration fee of $200 to MVU. Financial aid is available for any reason upon request via the MVU registration form in Step 1.

(Note: we have heard that some individuals experience difficulties with our payment system when using Apple products. If you do not have an alternative device to try and need to pay us another way, please contact us to discuss options. Note that we will accept checks at our Registration Drop-In Help Night on February 11, 2025.)

Step Three: Sports Physicals

Complete and submit the MSHSL Sports Health Physical Form to the MVHS Athletic Department. 

  • The MSHSL Sports Health Physical Form is valid for 3 years. 

  • We realize this requirement is new this year and this is short notice. If medical insurance coverage is a challenge to obtaining a physical, please contact us to discuss options.

  • Forms can often be completed by contacting the player’s primary care physician, oftentimes without an in-person appointment. CVS MinuteClinics offer walk-in sports physical exams at a low cost.

Step Four: MVHS Registration and Fee

Physical forms must be submitted before you start this step!
Register with Mounds View High School and pay an $50 activity fee:

  • Mounds View District students:

    • Log in to the Mounds View Public Schools payment portal

    • Click on the red soccer ball and follow the prompts to register your player for MV Ultimate Frisbee

      • Male Matching Players (MMP) choose “Mounds View Boys Ultimate Frisbee”

      • Female Matching Players (FMP) choose “MV and Irondale Girls Ultimate Frisbee”

    • Answer the health and MSHSL questionnaires

  • Other Students: Contact us for the registration form. 

  • Financial aid is available from the school per district rules. This $50 fee is part of a family's $750 annual District maximum. If you believe your family has reached the annual maximum, please contact the school for further instructions. 

Step Five: MNU Registration and Fee

Register with Minnesota Ultimate and purchase your annual $60 membership (fee should only apply to players that did NOT play in Fall 2024).

  • Female Matching Players (FMP) select team: Mounds View FMP (competing in the FMP division).

  • Male Matching Players (MMP) select team: Mounds View MMP (competing in the Open division).

  • Complete any necessary waivers and questions. This must be done even if you played in Fall of 2024.

  • Complete payment (if you did not play in Fall of 2024).

  • Financial aid is available from MNU per their organizational rules. 

  • Following tryouts in early March, MMPs will be assigned to a team for the season. 

Use Minnesota Ultimate Registration Tutorials if necessary.

Step Six: Uniforms

  • New players, FIRST claim your jersey number.

  • Purchase a uniform kit at our PodiumWear Store. (Storefront password: carpeMVUdiscus)

  • Players who still have uniform kit from spring 2024 do not need to purchase a new one. 

  • A full kit consists of a white jersey, dark jersey and shorts.

  • Order Window Deadlines:

    • 1st early order: January 20th (closed)

    • 2nd early order: February 23rd (closed)

    • Final order deadline March 12 (closed) (items will arrive mid season)

  • Items take 4 to 6 weeks for delivery. 

Note: all players will need non-metal cleats. All extra apparel is optional.

About our Fees

Mounds View HS activity fees cover field and gym rentals, in-season weight lifting, and athletic lettering for players that qualify.

Mounds View Ultimate fees cover the costs associated with the following:

  • League Team Fee

  • State Tournament

  • Two Tournament Registrations

  • Coaches

  • Dome Rentals

  • Miscellaneous Team Equipment

  • Disc

We have worked hard to reduce our fees this year compared to prior years, and we have been able to do that largely due to our fundraising efforts and donations. Thank you to everyone who has supported our program to keep it as affordable as possible!
